Quitting smoking can be a lonely business. People who have never smoked can’t understand why it is so hard, and ex-smokers can often give the impression that it was really easy – even though they probably went through hell coping with it. And if you are quitting on your own, it can be really hard to resist temptation when someone offers you a cigarette. So you should try to find someone else you know who also wants to quit
So to sum up, STEP 2 of the Dr Chris Steele 10 Step Quit Smoking plan is: choose a quit buddy!
Of course you need to make sure that they are not going to give in too easily, because that could undermine your willpower as well. Pick someone who wants to quit as much as you do, so you know that they will be committed and dedicated.
